From Hotel to Homebush

The Funakoshi Gichin Cup will be held at Homebush Bay, approximately 16 km west of Sydney City.
Homebush Bay was the site for the 2000 Sydney Olympic and Paralympic Games, and is now the host venue for the Sydney Easter Show, major exhibitions, and many large sporting and cultural events.

Shuttle Buses

A shuttle bus service can be arranged for large groups to travel between the hotel and the tournament venue.  To arrange this service for your team through JTB, please contact us.

Public Transport

Train, bus and ferry services are available.  Detailed information on how to get there is available on the Sydney Olympic Park website.  (http://www.sydneyolympicpark.com.au/visiting/transport)

Taxi

Taxis are readily available at the many taxi ranks around the city, or from your hotel.  Just ask the hotel reception or concierge to arrange a taxi for you.  You can also book online through one of the many taxi companies' websites.   If you have any special needs, please request at the time of booking.  Alternatively you can just flag a taxi on the street by waving your arm!  Vacant taxis will have the light on top of the car lit up.

Please be aware that passengers are required to pay for any bridge or road tolls along the way, which will be added to the fare.  For example, if you are travelling from the airport to the North Shore over the Harbour Bridge or through the Harbour Tunnel, you will be charged the Bridge Toll (A$3.00 as at 23 December 2005) in addition to the fare displayed on the metre. You may also be charged a pick up fee if you have ordered the taxi.

On Arrival at Sydney Olympic Park
